 The Riu Caribe resort is a 3 ½ star all inclusive hotel, located on km 5.5 of boulevard Kuklcan in the hotel zone of Cancun Mexico. It is a pyramid type resort which features 506 air conditioned rooms and suites in the main 9 story building, with which each room includes a small balcony with table and chair and partial ocean view. It backs onto the long sandy beaches of the Caribbean Sea. Between the beach and the resort is a large beautiful lagoon style pool.The resort includes a gym, sauna, Jacuzzi, and health spa which features, shiatsu, Swedish and aromatherapy. As well there are tennis courts and small sail boats, and snorkel gear. There is also an internet café and sports bar, as well as 5 restaurants and 4 bars. Restaurants - Albatros – which is glass walled and provides a sea view, while serving breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets featuring international cuisine.Gaviotas – which is a casual open air beachfront restaurant and bar. It provides lunch buffet as well as afternoon snacks, and is open for a la carte dinner. Reservations are required for dinner and the dress code includes long pants for men.

- Maria Margarita – is a restaurant that is open only for dinner, and requires reservations that serves Mexican cuisine. The dress code is long pants for men.
- Pizzeria – a bar that serves great handmade pizza. You select your topping and the pizza is made right in front of you.

One of the best things about the Riu Caribe, has to be the great hotel staff. During the course of your stay the staff will provide entertainment and games such as water volleyball and fitness classes. As well in the evening transportation and entrance to the hottest clubs in Cancun is also organized by the hotel staff. The Riu Caribe is one of the nicer 3 ½ star hotels, that offers a great bang of your buck. The only drawback of the resort would be its location, as it is located near the entrance of the hotel zone, away from most of the other attractions.
